About Me

Thank you for visiting A Pendulum World!

Who am I & Why am I blogging?

I am a young wife and mother to two busy boys. One handsome, digital marketing guru and one messy, little one! I love getting outdoors, trying new foods, and making friends. Right now, I’m navigating young motherhood while trying to balance new things and stay sane.

I met my husband (Sam) while we were both attending BYU. We were married in April 2012 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. Shortly after being married we were surprised to realize that we were pregnant! Just 1 week after our 1st Anniversary our sweet boy, P joined our family.

Currently, Sam and I are finishing up our college degrees. Balancing college, work, and our little family keeps life interesting, joyful, entertaining, and very busy. The inspiration for this blog came as a result of feeling pulled in multiple directions. I feel a need to find balance in my life. There are so many competing ideas in the world that seem so extreme, as well as take up a lot of my time. Join me on my journey of finding balance and peace in this hectic world.

Thanks for stopping by!

    • You are so sweet to think of me, Torrie! It means so very much. 🙂 I’ve been so busy with school and been feeling less confident recently with my ability to form a complete thought in my writing. I sit down to write and feel like my words are all jumbled and my thoughts across the map. Have you ever had that happen? I want to come back to blogging, I’m just trying not to put too much pressure on myself. Thank you so much for checking up on me though!! It means so much that even though I haven’t posted in a while, that I’m not forgotten 🙂

      • Definitely not forgotten. And you know what? Yes, that very thing happened to me this fall…not being able to find my enthusiasm and talent in the midst of all the chaos. Don’t stress on it. You’ll know when your moment to return arrives….it’ll be crystal clear! Just know we’re still thinking of you and will be waiting for you when you find that window! 🙂

      • Hah! That’s exactly what I did too! Am glad I was some comfort to you. I know you’re a little overwhelmed and down right now, but you’re gonna come out the other end of that soon. I know it.
